The School Nursing Service provides information and support to school-aged children and their families who attend a Devon School. The service works in partnership with schools and other services to identify those children and young people who may be supported by the School Nursing Service. This can include working with schools to help them support pupils with medical conditions and contributing to policies which impact on health.

If you are looking for information and advice on health and wellbeing for your child, the School Nurse service also provides the Health for Under 5s and Health for Kids websites, which host a wide range of information on a variety of topics, and includes signposting to services in Devon.  

 If you are a pupil at secondary school looking for health and wellbeing advice, take a look at the Health for Teens website, where you will find information and support on a variety of topics, as well as signposting to services in Devon.   

If you are aged 11-19 you can also text a school nurse for confidential advice and support. Text 07520 631722 for advice on things like relationships, bullying, mental health, self-harm, and drugs or alcohol.
